Nasal prostheses

All nasal prostheses will be manufactured in France from a soft, transparent material that is certified biocompatible with the nasal mucosa.
More informations about the material here.
There are currently two versions available, a cylindrical one and another with a V-shape, which allows the prosthesis to be easily inserted into the nasal cavity.
In addition to the standard versions, I now offer a custom prosthesis service designed based on your CT-scan.

Cylindrique shape

This prosthesis is made up of rods with cylinders at the ends, each 5 mm in diameter and 20 mm long. You can trim the parts that seem too large to you with a cutter.
Click on the 3D view button to view the prosthesis in 3D.

V-shape

This prosthesis is made of rods with V-shaped ends that allow for easy insertion into the nasal cavity. The wings of the V fold during passage through the anterior part and unfold in the inferior meatus.

Custom

Custom prostheses are made from the same material as the standard versions and follow the same overall design. You can see some examples of custom prostheses below. To request a custom prosthesis, please click on the request button and fill out the form.I will contact you as soon as possible.

Note that it is more expensive than standard prosthesis for two reasons:
1. It takes a significant amount of time to design the prosthesis based on your ct-scan.
2. The cost of producing a single unit is higher than mass production.

Airflow simulation service

I offer you a service a service of airflow simulation of your nasal cavity.
You just need to fill a form and share me your CT-SCAN in the DICOM format.
I will do the simulation and wrote a report with the following views:

Wall Sheer Stress

What is Wall Sheer Stress? WSS is the pressure exerted by the airflow to the walls. The higher the gradient of velocity near the wall the higher the WSS. It is an important value because it is the WSS that participe to the airflow sensation.

Airflow visualisation

Air flow represented by lines colored in function of velocity

Drop presure

Drop presure between nostrils and the pharynx, this value represents the nasal resistance.

Cuts view of the velocity

The nasal cavity is cuted several times in order to see the velocity of each cuts.
And also some other datas...

Airflow imbalance between the two sides

The air flow imbalance between the right and left side in percentage.

Cross-sectional area

The air of the "emptiness" all along the nasal cavity.

One more thing... The service costs 140€. This price is determined by the amount of time I need to perform the simulation, extract the data, and write the report, which takes about 7 hours.
